Heather Pohlman

I have a deep passion for dog training! I started showing when I was 6 years old, and at 7 I earned my first Best in Show and Best of Tricks with my first Sheltie, Ginger. Over the years I've learned multiple techniques and tricks, having trained protection dogs to show dogs. I stick with positive reinforcement because, honestly, it works best if you want to have an amazing bond with your dog. My life has been graced with some amazing dogs in the past, and currently I have two Shetland Sheepdogs, a Border Collie, and a Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla. Tango, my youngest dog, is working in Barnhunt, obedience, tricks, and of course, she's one of our canine educators! I also have three cats, one of whom I've taught tricks to! 

 I have a love of fitness, I lift weights on my Tonal, love yoga, and do VR fitness. I'm also a certified personal trainer and yoga instructor, plus a board certified holistic health practitioner. But dogs are my true love, and I left my other careers behind to once again make training my full time mission. 

Currently, when I'm not teaching or taking classes, working out, or cooking, I'm probably playing in my Wrangler. We love going on day trips to do overlanding! I also love to crochet and knit in my free time (when I actually get some!)

I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer through Animal Behavior College, a Certified Trick Dog Instructor, Canine Conditioning Coach, and Stunt Dog Instructor and Judge through Do More With Your Dog, and a member of APDT
